Winner of R. Gapper undergraduate essay prize

The Society for French Studies is delighted to announce the results of the R. Gapper Undergraduate Essay Prize 2018. The winner is Kathleen Mitchell Fox (Cambridge), for an essay entitled: ‘Talking Holes and Meaningless Sex: exploring gender and signification in the Old French fabliaux’.

We congratulate the winner on her success, and thank all the entrants for taking part.

The award includes a cash prize of £250 and expenses-paid travel to the next annual conference of the Society for French Studies, which will be at Royal Holloway, 1-3 July 2019.
